We are happy to be legal partners for Romanian Music Export (RME), the first export program that brings together young artists, music industry professionals, festival directors, and audiences.

On 31 Jan 2021, Romanian Music Export takes place, an online event streamed on RME’s official website http://musicexport.ro, Facebook page and YouTube channel.

RME was developed as a promotional program in finding and supporting Romanian artists and helping them grow their national and international careers. This year’s edition which already has 7 artist bands under its belt, will treat us with conferences, interviews and almost 50 speakers, all seasoned with live concerts.

On August 12, 2020, together with AROPA – Romanian Association of Private Aviation Operators, we organized the AIRPORT CONCESSION SEMINAR, having as speakers Mrs Andrea Pal – CEO FRAPORT BRASIL, with significant experience in airport concessions and Mihai Furtună, our managing partner, specialised in aviation law and airport infrastructure. The seminar aimed to present the economic and legal challenges that arise from airport concessions, and the necessary aspects for the preparation and successful completion of such projects, focusing on practical examples from international and Romanian practice.

The event was attended by over 50 representatives operating in the aviation and airport infrastructure industry, including representatives of the National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) and other Romanian regional airports (such as Iași, Brașov, Satu Mare, Sibiu), of the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications, of County Councils and also representatives of Romanian and Moldavian private companies operating in the aviation and airport infrastructure industry.

Main topics were focused on: choosing the most appropriate model for the privatization of an airport (IPO/PPP/BOT/Concession), preparing and carrying out the tender procedure for concessions, the particularities and specific clauses of the concession contract and business cases presentation from an international experience point of view.

The AIRPORT CONCESSION SEMINAR was an indeed successful event, the more so as the Q&A session much exceeded the allotted time.

On 21 May 2020, Mihai Furtună joins the live conference for a discussion about the future of the entertainment industry in Romania in the current disruption triggered by Covid-19.

Mihai will speak about how the contracts between artists and event organizers and the contracts for renting event spaces undergo changes. He will also share some fine points about the law that allows event organizers to transform the already purchased tickets for future events.

Furtună și Asociații, alongside Romanian Airport Services, in the investigation concluded with the sanctioning of Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport for abuse of a dominant position.

The massive economy time-out forced by coronavirus is a firm callout to innovators to help tackle the range of problems arising from this pandemic.

This week, Techstars Startup Weekend Romania hosts a 54-hour hackathon that is desired to solve nowadays COVID-19 challenges. The participants will be provided by the mentors with guiding and training resources on how to develop and present their idea.

The event begins on April 24 and Sergiu-Traian Vasilescu is one of the mentors, bringing legal input to shape the ideas.
